My boyfriend needs help very bad. He's hooked on methamphetamine and its already affecting our relationship and his job too. I am afraid that something bad might happen to him. What's the best drug rehab at the Bronx?
There are actually a lot. You can call the Nationwide Addiction Assistance Helpline for more information about drug addiction and rehabilitation. Or you can also avail of counseling services in your area. The people there can give you great advice on the best treatment for your boyfriend.
Does anyone have any successful strategies for really leaving meth far behind and more importantly keeping it out of mind.
I don't deal with it. I have never been stupid enough to try it, much less become addickted.

I realize that it varies from person to person, but statistically, what are the chances?
statistically, i have no idea, but i think everyone has a 50-50 chance of overcoming the addiction, i think it all depends on the person addicted to it & how much they really want to overcome it, sounds cheesy but its really true.

Feeling like you cant function right, feeling empty and like something is missing will be there. Also some depresion, mood issues posibly. Cravings for it will be awfull but after a while they will lesson. If you went to a rehabilitaion center then you are usually able to go one a week or so, that is very helpfull and you get lots of support and encouragement. Do that its great. It will be hard but eventually you will be in controll of your life again. Ive been in recovery now for 6months and i am so happy this person decided to quit, its a really good thing. Good luck and i wish the best for them. Have lots of faith in yourself!
The website below offers some great ideas and programs. I have a friend who is in the process of breaking a meth addiction. It's a one day at a time proposition - he goes to support groups - not sure about diet and exercise. None that I can tell. Good luck to you.
