I just want to admit i am addicted to internet.I am about to appear for professional licensure exam which is supposed to be the toughest, so i stay home and study but my addiction is so bad that i had to ask my husband to put a Parental control on net access and lock it. Today he just left it on by mistake and went to sleep and i have already wasted 3 hrs without studying a single word. Anyone going thru this? Any ideas? God help me.
yeah i should probably probably go to sleep.BTW is there any Rehab program..cuz i will be needing one.

I spend 16 hours a day on the internet and I really need to stop. I feel like a missed out on so many things but getting a hobby or some such isn't so easy. Surprisingly, the internet isn't so helpful because a lot of people seem to think that internet addiction is a joke. So, Is there some sort of 12-step program for internet addiction?

OK, I have serious internet addiction and my school grades/personal life has taken quite a hit because of it last year.
I really want to cure myself especially since my Junior year in High School is coming up, and I do not want to mess up this important time in my life. Even if I have tons of things to do, I like to stay on the internet for hours - watching anime/speedruns of games on youtube, reading forums, fanfiction, random stuff on wikipedia, just really time wasting things. I can even spend a whole night and a whole day just in front of my computer. Please help me. Now I've got tons of school hw, and studying to do before school starts in September, and I am really desperate!

Since I can't fall asleep for more than 2 or 3 hours at nights I need something besides reading to keep me busy for a few hours. This might be a weird question to you since people normally try to get rid of the dreaded internet addiction but not me, I need it.

Jews S, Internet addiction can be hard to control. Many people have lost jobs, homes, friends, and loved ones simply because they could not break thier internet habits. I suggest you seek some help. This is sort of like a forum, most forums have large hand fulls of people who are obsessed , never leave, post all day and have an internet, computer addiction problem.

How many of you fit the bill, I am curious.
